History
Woodlands Ring Primary School (WRPS) began its journey in 1997, temporarily housed in Woodlands Ring Secondary School. It received its first batch of students in January 1998. The staff and students moved to 11 Woodlands Ring Road in June 1998. The school was officially opened in 2001.
In 2016, WRPS’s student, Nur Hanis Bte Jahangeer, was awarded the Prime Minister’s Book Prize for her high levels of proficiency in both English and Malay. In 2017, Al’Shafry Mohamed Masduki was among the first batch of students selected to receive the Lee Kuan Yew Award for All-Round Excellence for primary schools. These are but two of the more outstanding students who have flown the flag of WRPS high.
